Purpose
The purpose of the National Guard Association of Kansas shall be to promote relevance, readiness, and modernization of the National Guard.
Objectives
- Educating the public regarding the role of the Army and Air National Guard in the security, defense, and support of the state and nation.
- Making the requirements of the Army and Air National Guard known to the state’s legislators and the public, in order to enhance state and national defense and disaster preparedness through a strong, well-trained and ready National Guard.
- Maintaining, in conjunction with the Kansas National Guard Museum and the Kansas National Guard, a gallery of significant art, artifacts and memorabilia operated by the Kansas National Guard Museum, to be open to the public without charge in the interest of fostering and improving public appreciation of the history, traditions and contributions of the militia and the National Guard.
- Encouraging membership in the Army and Air National Guard and promoting the rights and benefits of members and former members of the National Guard.
